“This Girl Can…. Play Walking Netball” sessions to start at Dorcan Dome, Tuesday evenings from 19:00 – 20:00. The sessions are suitable for women who are 50+, or those that are 21+ and suffer from back, knee or ankle injuries.
The first three sessions will be held on Tuesday 18th & 25th August and 1st September, after which the sessions’ participation and success will be assessed. Please spread the word – contact your former netball peers, family, friends & work colleagues that would benefit from these sessions and encourage them to participate.

Mo sent an e-mail to all of the clubs in Swindon asking for people’s input and ideas for developing netball in Swindon. I had been working as a project coordinator with Swindon Advocacy Movement (SAM), specifically aimed at developing community links and new skills for people with learning disabilities.
When I received Mo’s e-mail I had a proverbial ‘light bulb moment’! Would a learning disability netball team come under ‘netball development’ I wondered… I sent a reply to Mo suggesting this; to say the response was positive would be an understatement! Congratulations to Jenna Goodright and Jasmine Flatman (both Pinehurst Netball Club) who have recently gained their umpiring ‘B’ award – during a fast and furious game between 2 teams made up of players from the Team Bath Superleague, NPL and ‘Futures’ squads.
They are now looking forward to umpiring at regional level – and beyond.
